1. Who we are

Bar Buddy List is operated by Liquid Alchemy LLC ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for personal data collected through the Service.

2. What we collect & why

  • Account data (name, email, login credentials) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: contract performance.
  • Profile & list content (client names, event details, shopping lists you save) — to provide the Service. Legal basis: contract performance.
  • Support messages — to respond to your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interest in providing support.
  • Usage & device data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, error logs) — for security, fraud prevention, and improving the Service. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • Marketing emails (only if you opt in) — Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Payment data is collected directly by Paddle (see Sharing below) — we don't store card details.

3. Who we share data with

  • Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payments, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds.
  • Service providers — hosting, database, analytics, and support tooling acting as our processors under contract.
  • Professional advisers — legal and accounting, where needed.
  • Authorities — where required by law (court order, subpoena, regulatory request).

4. How long we keep data

We keep account and list data for as long as your account is active, plus a short retention window after closure for backups, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate data;
  • Request deletion of your data;
  • Restrict or object to certain processing;
  • Receive your data in a portable format;
  • Withdraw consent (for consent-based processing) at any time.

UK/EEA users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact us through in-app support; we respond within 30 days.

6. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and regular reviews — to protect your data.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to make the Service work. We may also use limited analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

8. International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
